Faith Forward is a very powerful ministry here at Faith Wesleyan Church. It is helping to overcome Society's pressure to judge our brothers and sisters by material gain, not by God's Love. Of course, the Bible tells us what is most valuable when it asks:
"What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?" Luke 9:25 (NIV)

Testimony


God's love has changed my life significantly, I used to think I was moving towards his love and I was a good Christian. Then my whole world exploded. I lost my job, my family was in turmoil, I didn't know what to do or how to go on living. I felt angry with God and asked him "What did I do? Are you trying to kill me?".
Then I turned to him and asked him to take my life, I was done with it. I turned my life over to him. I felt the burden on my shoulders fade away, I could feel God's hand on my shoulder and felt an overwhelming sense of peace.
I have made a promise to God that if he helped me through the darkness, I would do everything I could to bring his love into this world. I would be a witness to his Glory and spread the love and excitement of God to every person I could. The vision of Faith Forward was born and what a joy it has been to be part of this awesome ministry.
We have visited with Hannah's Haven, Greensboro Urban Ministry and Street Watch. I have seen people overcome their addictions, lay down their pride and ask for help feeding thier families. This is part of our continuing effort to help provide help and hope to those who need either, or both.
We will focus on this by providing 1,000 lbs. of food for Greensboro Urban Ministry; as well as money for Hannah’s Haven (a Teen Challenge Center for recovering addicts) and StreetWatch (an outreach to the homeless).
