Phil & Becky Davis (Europe)

In March 1999, Phil and Becky Davis began their service as career missionaries in Suriname, South America. Phil taught Bible school courses to Wesleyan pastors and Becky taught at the American Cooperative School. They learned Dutch and built relationships with church members.

Phil is pursuing a doctorate to prepare for long-term ministry throughout Europe. He will also teach and encourage pastors and missionaries since leadership development is vital to the growth and continued health of the Church. They believe that God is leading them to enhance their education so that they will clearly understand the ways that Europeans understand and wrestle with their faith.

Phil & Becky have 4 sons.

Jason & Carla Evans (Czech Republic)

Jason graduated from Lee University in 2000 with a degree in sociology. After short-term mission trips to Jamaica and the Czech Republic from 2004-2005, he felt God calling him to career missions.

Carla felt called into missions through a missions conference her senior year of college. She graduated from Southern Wesleyan University in 2001 with degrees in music and psychology. Upon graduation Carla served for two years with Global Partners in the Czech Republic.

God has instilled within Jason and Carla a love for the Czech people and a call to return. They were married in 2006 and have since served on several short-term mission trips to Brazil and the Czech Republic. In September 2007 Jason, Carla, and Jaxon (’07) were appointed to serve as career missionaries with Global Partners to the Czech Republic. They desire to use the strengths and gifts God has blessed them with to reach out to the Czech people.

Jeff & Gelya Whitney (Russia/Europe)

Jeff is a graduate of Southern Wesleyan University and Syracuse University, receiving a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in accounting. After summer mission trips in 1993 and 1994, Jeff moved to Russia in 1995 for one year of missions service. Twelve years later he is still serving. His ministry has extended beyond Russia, as he now has accounting and administrative responsibilities throughout Europe assisting with other Global Partners’ ministries.

Gelya experienced the transition of the Soviet Union into the Russian Federation, including a the influx of Christian missionaries and programs. While attending an evangelical crusade in 1994, Gelya and several members of her family came to Christ.

Jeff & Gelya married in 2006 and have a little girl named Joy (2008).
